Toch wat transfer nieuws uit het Boca kamp en wat mij het meest pleziert is de mogelijke verlenging van Riquelme mocht hij fit blijven dan is het een geweldige set van het Boca bestuur.
Sánchez Miño to Torino may allow Boca to move for Sunderland’s Scocco
Boca Juniors are reportedly close to selling 24-year-old midfielder, Juan Sánchez Miño to Italian side, Torino in a deal worth €4.5 milli0n. The funds generated from this deal could allow Boca to follow up on their interest and provide Sunderland striker, Ignacio Scocco a route back to Argentina.
Carlos Bianchi has made Scocco his number one target given Boca’s lack of goal scorers but with Sunderland looking to recoup the £3 million that they paid for him back in January this was a major stumbing block.
However, with this boost to the coffers Boca may return to Sunderland with a renewed offer which will suit both parties and allow Scocco to end what has been a fairly disastrous spell in England. Scocco has made no secret of his desire to return to Argentina and although his former club, Newell’s Old Boys would be preferred an agreement with Boca would almost undoubtedly be made.
The move for Sánchez Miño comes at a good time as his growth has somewhat halted at Boca and he has not progressed from the exciting wide player that emerged some years ago. Now at 24 years of age a move to one of Europe’s smaller sides, where chances of playing are increased, could be beneficial.
With Boca still negotiating a new 18-month contract for Juan Román Riquelme it could be a busy window in La Bombonera. If Fernando Gago impresses at the World Cup a move back to Europe could be on the cards while Boca also eye several other targets.
A deal with Godoy Cruz’s, Gonzalo Castellani is in the works, as is a serious interest in Colon’s, 21-year-old midfielder, César Meli.
