Edgardo Bauza To Manage Argentina?
La Nacion has reported that San Lorenzo manager Edgardo BAUZA is now being shortlisted on the possibility to replace Alejandro SABELLA as manager of Argentina.
Shortly after leading his club to the Copa Libertadores Final, BAUZA has admitted on to receive a surprise call from AFA on the prospect to manage the National Team.
However he has declined to commit anything for now as he wish to focus on his club’s all important task to take on Nacional for the Holy Grail of South American club football.
Since SABELLA has announced his decision to quit despite strong call to continue; Gerardo MARTINO and Jose PEKERMAN were mentioned as a possible successor with MARTINO seems likely to have the edge for the hottest seat in Argentine football.
However the death of President Julio GRONDONA meant that the AFA has decided to postponed the announcement of the new manager to a later date not sure when.
