Already tracked by AS Roma, Argentinian centre-back Cristian Ansaldi (25) has been targeted by Benfica as well, and might leave Rubin Kazan already in January.
Ansaldi zou een geweldige versterking zijn voor de lb positie bij Benfica, maar ik hoop dat Juventus zich nog gaat mengen in de strijd om zijn diensten.

Currently on a deal with Banfield until June 2014, Argentinian Under-20 international forward Facundo Ferreyra (20), already tracked by Juventus, has been targeted by Porto as well.

Porto sealed their place in the 4th Round of the Taca de Portugal this afternoon in emphatic fashion, with an 8-0 win over III Divisao outfit Pero Pinheiro. Walter helped himself to four goals, including an eight-minute hat trick, whilst Djalma, Defour and Varela were also on target.

Vitor Pereira left no fewer than six regulars at home (Helton, Otamendi, Alvaro Pereira, Guarin, Moutinho and Hulk), which allowed a host of fringe players to start. Mangala lined up alongside Maicon in the centre of defence, whilst Alex Sandro made his debut at left back. The other debutant was Juan Manuel Iturbe, signed from Cerro Porteno to a great deal of fanfare but kept under wraps thus far this season.

Pero’s plan was clear: to keep Porto at bay for as long as they could, and hope for a lucky break down the other end. It worked for half an hour, but always looked a long shot over ninety minutes.

After Marco Pinto denied Alex Sandro and Walter in impressive fashion, Defour finally broke Pero’s resistance. A flowing Porto counter-attack ended with a perfectly weighted pass from Walter to the Belgian, who slotted home to the delight of the travelling support.

That signalled the opening of the floodgates, with four more goals arriving before half time. Two came from Walter: the Brazilian was set up first by Belluschi (after a wonderful piece of skill from the Argentine) and then Djalma (after a fine reverse pass from Iturbe), tapping home twice in as many minutes. Djalma got in on the act after a strong tackle on Iturbe diverted the ball into his path, before Walter completed an eight-minute hat-trick with a deft finish to beat poor Pinto once again.

With the game in the bag, Porto eased off considerably in the second half. Iturbe was withdrawn after a promising debut and replaced by Varela, and Pero temporarily re-grouped, managing to keep the Dragons at bay for twelve minutes.

Normal service was resumed just before the hour mark, when Djalma grabbed his second of the afternoon, turning home after a Pinto save fell to him inside the penalty box. Varela added a seventh four minutes later, easing his way beyond the tiring Pero defence and tapping into an empty net. The final thirty minutes were largely uneventful, before Walter capped a fine performance with his fourth of the game.
