Maxi Biancucchi: I am not like my cousin Messi
Santos confirm Robinho talks with MilanVitória's Argentine star Maxi Biancucchi has dismissed comparisons to his famous cousin Lionel Messi.
Maxi Biancucchi is one of the top goalscorers in the Brazilian national league with four goals, he scored yesterday against Atlético Paranaense.
Despite his great form, Maxi Biancucchi does not like to be compared to his famous cousin, he told Premiere FC: "I have nothing to do with Messi. I do my job and he does his."
He had previously played for Flamengo without impressing, then moving to Mexican club Cruz Azul and Paraguayan side Olimpia, before joining Vitória in January.
Biancucchi became a fan favorite, as he had been at Flamengo, but the comparisons to Messi have always bothered him.
Mano Menezes: No agreement with Flamengo yetSantos president Odilio Rodrigues has confirmed the club have opened talks with Milan over the possibility of signing Robinho this summer.
The 29-year-old was the subject of heavy interest from a number of teams in Brazil during the January transfer window, including former club Santos.
The Peixe failed in their attempts to sign Robinho, but are much more hopeful with negotiations this time round, as reported on Goal.com.
"We look forward to a brief reply [from Milan], later this week. Want to understand whether the purchase [of Robinho] may be feasible or not, but I think so," Rodrigues told reporters.
"Currently there are ongoing negotiations for anyone, we are testing the market but at the moment there are no announcements to make."
The striker, who has a contract at San Siro until 2014, was a little more coy when recently quizzed on his future in Italy.
"Will I return to Santos? Right now it's a question I cannot answer, but it is clear that Santos is my boyhood club and I have many good memories of my time there," he said.
Former Brazil national team manager Mano Menezes has denied rumors that he has reached an agreement to manage Flamengo.
He has been in talks with the Rio de Janeiro-based club this week, and a deal is expected to be announced soon.
But Mano Menezes is cautious about the negotiations, he told ESPN Brasil: "It's not over and I won't talk about it yet.
Sometimes things are well underway and they end up not happening. Let's wait and see."
Mano Menezes was asked if a return to club football would be a step back, he said: "I don't think that managing a club is a step back.
All former managers of Brazil need to choose a new path, regardless of winning or not winning titles. You can't avoid it."
Flamengo's previous manager Jorginho was sacked last week, following a poor start in the Brazilian national league.

Er zal echter wel met een investeerdersmaatschappij (BMG) dienen te worden onderhandelt.
- Pato inmiddels 10 wedstrijden op rij niet gescoord voor Corinthians. Hij is compleet uit vorm, en tot dusver is zijn terugkeer in de Braziliaanse competitie een deceptie. toch verwacht ik dat hij alsnog gaat uitblinken bij Corinthians. Het was dan ook logisch dat Jô als vervanger van de geblesseerde Leandro Damião werd opgeroepen door Scolari voor de Confederations Cup in plaats van Pato.

Ik hoop nog steeds dat hij zijn loopbaan weer op de rails rijgt, want bij Coritiba in zijn eerste peride speelde hij geweldig. Atlético Mineiro reject £15m offer for Bernard from 'English club'

The young playmaker is one of the hottest prospects in Brazilian football and is wanted by a number of top European clubs, such as Tottenham Hotspur and Borussia Dortmund.
Lancenet previously reported that Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas will send a scout to all of Brazil’s games at the Confederations Cup, in order to watch Bernard with a view to a summer purchase.
Kalil has revealed that Mineiro have already turned down one offer from England as it was below their €25m valuation.
He told A Bola: "We have received an offer of €18m from an English club who wants to sign Bernard. The offer was deemed too low, therefore refused.
"FC Porto have now entered negotiations. Their president a good friend.
"We told everyone if you pay €25m Bernard is yours. Porto sold Moutinho and James Rodriguez. I believe they have money."
The 20-year-old has publicly declared he will not leave Mineiro until after their Copa Libertadores campaign, with their semi-final tie against Newell’s Old Boys scheduled for July.
Spurs target Paulinho confirms his agent is in England
Corinthians star Paulinho has confirmed that his agent is currently in England, increasing speculation that a move to Tottenham Hotspur is close.
The 24-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to White Hart Lane, especially after Franco Baldini left Roma to take over as director of football.
Chelsea, Inter and Roma are also chasing Paulinho’s signature, but Spurs are now believed to be leading the way as Giuliano Bertolucci could begin talks with the Premier League club imminently.
"It’s true my agent is in England at the moment, but I don’t know anything else," Paulinho told Lancenet.
"I am certain he will tell me what’s going on soon."
The box-to-box midfielder is valued at £14.5 million, around €20m, and had a deal in place with Inter last summer before turning it down so he could take part in the Club World Cup.
Corinthians president Mário Gobbi recently told Folha de S. Paulo that there have been no offers for Paulinho so far.
The Brazilian is currently on Seleção duty for the Confederations Cup and any deal will have to be postponed until July at the earliest.

The name of the condoms has sparked plenty of fun, with many noting the apparent contradiction in having the product used for safe sex called “Sex Free”.

São Paulo will struggle to keep Wellington, says presidentIndonesian club Sriwijaya have expressed an interest in signing troubled Brazilian striker Adriano after his declares a desire to play in Asia.
Sriwijaya’s coach Robert Heri admits the club have begun exploring the possibility of signing the former Seleção striker.
The former Inter forward last played for Flamengo, but has been without a club for over seven months as his well-documented off-the-field problems have affected his football.
Still only 31, Adriano is hoping to rekindle the form which made him a world-class footballer and according to Sriwijaya's coach Heri, the Brazilian is targeting the Far East as a place for his return, as reported on Goal.com.
Heri told Goal.com: “We heard news that Adriano was interested in playing in Asia. We will open any possibility to sign him for next season.
“But before we bring him to Palembang, we will see Adriano’s latest condition, including his price.

The striker has been capped 51 times by the Seleção, scoring 29 goals. Adriano has been plagued by injury which has limited his action since the 2010-11 season, he is currently without a club.

Bernard arrived at his current side Atlético Mineiro in 2006, aged 13, and spent the next few seasons quietly making his way through the youth ranks at the club, to little wider attention. Style of Play:
Bernard, when on form, is the life-and-soul of his side, combining industry to no small amount of talent. Given his slender frame and diminutive stature, he would be forgiven for hiding from his defensive duties, but what the youngster does so well is to contribute to all areas of the team’s set-up. His enjoyment for football is clear and this represents itself in his desire for the ball, whether demanding a pass off a team-mate, or hassling an opponent for possession. When his Atlético side have gone through their lowest spells in the 2012 season, it has been Bernard who, at times, has single-handedly dragged them through games and to valuable points in the race for the league title. The one downside can be that, due to his dogged determination and enthusiasm, Bernard has picked up his fair-share of cards at senior level, both yellow and red.
As is the expectation of Brazilian attacking-midfielders, Bernard is supremely comfortable in possession, able to play as the team’s main No. 10 playmaker, or in a supporting role from a wider position or off the striker. With excellent close control, the Belo Horizonte born midfielder likes nothing better than to dribble directly at opposition defenders and has shown himself capable of clever improvisation when required (as shown in the video below). His first-touch and short passing have proven to be amongst the best that Brazil currently have to offer and with his lightening short-distance speed, he is well suited to fast, fluid attacking football. ik heb gisteren de wedstrijd niet gezien, maar in de eerder wedstrijden van Internacional deze competitie speelde Diego Forlán ook uitstekend.
Fluminese vind ik in vergelijking met afgelopen jaar toen ze kampioen werden een stuk zwakker geworden. Ik zie de ploeg ook niet als een kandidaat om de titel te prolongeren.
De verkoop van Welllington Nem hebben ze niet goed opgevangen.
De keeper van Fluminese en 3e keeper bij de Braziliaanse ploeg: Diego Cavalieri zei na afloop van de wedstrijd dat het zijn schuld was dat Fluminese deze wedstrijd heeft verloren.

Ik vind Diego Cavalieri eigenlijk heel dit seizoen al een onzekere en zwakke indruk maken. Hij zat ook bij de nationale ploeg vanwege zijn prestaties het afgelopen seizoen. momenteel kunnen de brazilianen het beste gaan voor deze 3 keepers: Júlio César, Jefferson en Rafael. Al zal de laatste zeer waarschijnlijk op de bank terecht komen bij Napoli. Als vervanger voor Rafael vind ik ook Diego Alves een optie.
Rogério Ceni de 40 jarige keeper van São Paulo heeft vandaag weer gescoord voor zijn ploeg. Zijn 112e doelpunt in zijn loopbaan.
Maximiliano Biancucci de neef van Messi wederom 2 keer trefzeker ( inmiddels op 6 treffers deze competitie) voor Vitória, en zijn ploeg won met 3-2 van São Paulo. Ganso speelde weer uitermate zwak (São Paulo).
Eduardo Vargas doet het ook goed bij Gremio en hij was ook 2 keer trefzeker. 2-1 winst tegen koploper Botafogo waarvoor Seedorf scoorde. Door dit verlies heeft Coritiba de koppositie overgenomen.
Flanengo met 0-1 voor tegen Vasco Da Gama, en zoas ik al eerder aangaf Vasco gaat een heel zwaar seizoen tegemoet.

Hoe zit het met Vargas, wanneer kan hij terug naar Napoli. Die goals zaten er aardig in. Al was die van Seedorf het lekkerst. Jammer voor Seedorf en Co dat ze het stokje weer moeten overgeven aan Coritiba. Jij enig idee waarom Vitoria zo hoog staat?

Volgens mij blijft Vargas tot het einde van deze competitie nog bij Gremio. Benitez lijkt het ook niet echt vertrouwen in hem te hebben. hij heeft ook Mertens gecontracteerd, en het zou me niet verbazen als Vargas aan het einde van het nieuwe seizoen verkocht gaat worden.
Vitoria heeft op papier niet echt een geweldig team, maar het is wel een team dat heel compact speelt, en thuis ook zeer sterk presteert. Verder is Maximiliano Biancucci in bloedvorm, en blijft hij maar scoren. 'El primo de Messi' was in het verleden eigenlijk nergens echt succesvol, en hij heeft ook bij best wat clubs gespeeld. o.a San Lorenzo, Flamego, Cruz Azul, Libertad, Olimpia en bij andere clubs uit Paraguay. Tot dusver vind ik hem de sensatie van de Braziliaanse competitie.
Ik verwacht overigens dat Vitoria aan het einde van het seizoen hooguit in de middenmoot staat.

Mr 50% (zoiets) is meteen weer aanvoerder. Vasco heeft in de eerste helft de leiding genomen, via diezelfde aanvoerder.
Die scoort dus bij terugkeer 2.0.
Fulminense staat met 10 man op het veld, Fred kreeg rood.
Patio ook weer een goaltje meegepakt in het 1-1 gelijke spel tegen Atletico PR.
Vargas rood bij Gremio, hij was echter de eerste niet, waardoor Gremio de wedstrijd met 9 man eindigde.
De terugkeer van Juninho bij zijn jeugdliefde Vasco Da Gama heeft de ploeg goed gedaan. Gisteren werd er met 3-2 gewonnen van Criciuma, en Juninho is het nog steeds niet verleerd.
- Shakhtar wil Vinicius Araujo van Cruzeiro kopen, en ook heeft de ploeg interesse om Bernard te contracteren, maar hij lijkt voor FC Porto te gaan kiezen.
3 derbies vandaag in de braziliaanse competitie.
- Corinthians- São Paulo. ik verwacht een winst voor de thuisploeg. De bezoekers hebben de laatstye 6 wedstrijden verloren.
- Cruzeiro-Atletico Mineiro. Prognose winst voor cruzeiro, want er zullen zeer waarschijnlijk veel spelers rust krijgen bij Atletico Mineiro. Eeen aantal dagen terug hebben ze nog de Copa Libertadores wedstrijd gewonnen. cruzeiro heeft verder een uitstekend team, en is voor mij een kandidaat om kampioen te worden.
- Flamengo-Botafogo. Bij deze wedstrijd verwacht ik een gelijkspel.
Internacional is voor mij de topkandidaat om de titel in de Braziliaanse competitie te winnen. Zeker nu ze ook Scocco en Alex ( ex Spartak Moskou) erbij hebben. Middenveld en aanval is van een zeer hoog niveau met o.a Alex + D'Alessandro + Forlan + Scocco.
Ik verwacht dat Damião nog verkocht gaat worden.
Sinds het vertrek van Neymar bij Santos begint Neilton zijn klasse steeds meer te tonen.
Goede verwachting.
Na een bal op de kruising van Seedorf en 2 afgekeurde goals van Flamengo, scoort Elias in de 95ste minuut de gelijkmaker.
Bahia heeft helaas niet mee mogen doen.
De Pele uit de VS maakt ook maar weinig minuten.

Maximiliano Biancucci weer gescoord, en tot dusver beleefd hij een uitstekend seizoen. Keirrison heeft voor het eerst in een lange tijd weer minuten gemaakt bij Coritiba. hij viel een kwartier voor tijd in. De wedstrijd tussen Coritiba - Vitoria werd 1-1.
Adu wordt ook bij Bahia geen succes, en wat een hype om niets was dat destijds van de media.

volkomen mee eens dat de terugkeer van Juninho een positief effect op het spel van vasco heeft, maar veel hoger dan rond plaats 10 zie ik ze het seizoen niet afsluiten.
Flamengo gisteren eenvoudig gewonnen van Atlletco MG dat speelde zonder de geschorste Bernard en ook Ronaldinho en jo deden niet mee bij de copa Libertadores winnaar.
Keirrison viel bij coritiba in, maar moest in de 80e minuut wederom van het veld af vanwege een nieuwe blessure.
Santos starlet Victor Andrade alerts Premier League trio
Santos starlet Victor Andrade has reportedly alerted Manchester City, Arsenal and Chelsea this summer by stating he wants a move to Europe.
The 17-year-old Brazilian is already a first team regular at Santos but is believed to have made it clear that he will not sign a new deal at the end of the season.
Andrade has been labelled the ‘new Neymar’ and is keen to follow in the footsteps of the Brazil star, who joined Barcelona for €57 million, with a move to Europe.
"Quite simply, I would love to play in Europe," he is quoted as saying by the Daily Mirror.
"My godfather Robinho has told me of the great experiences he had at Real Madrid, Manchester City and AC Milan. He told me how it made him a better player because playing in Europe means you must adapt to different styles and systems.
"I think it will be a great education for me. Everybody around the world knows about the strength of the Premier League.
"And many Brazilian players have done well when they have played in England. Players like David Luiz and Oscar at Chelsea and now Paulinho has gone to Tottenham to play alongside Sandro.
"It is a very exciting prospect for me. My dream is to play for Brazil in the World Cup and I believe that moving to Europe will help me because it will help my all-round game.
"I have no problem with Santos. They have helped me a lot. But I think the time is right for me to experience a change."
The Mirror also report that Adrade could be available at a bargain price of less than £2.5 million, the development fee Santos will receive, and that there will be no work permit issues because he qualifies for Portuguese citizenship through his mother’s side of the family.
Atlético Mineiro coach Cuca admits Bernard is set to leave
Atlético Mineiro coach Cuca has admitted that star attacker Bernard is set to leave the club soon with Shakhtar Donetsk reportedly close to a deal.
The Ukraine giants have agreed a fee with Atlético, and with no other club prepared to match their bid, it seems Bernard will be moving soon.
"He will travel, he will do what he needs to do,” Cuca told Record. "It's virtually impossible for Bernard to stay here, it's not me who has the say, he has fulfilled his part."
Bernard has been the subject of intense speculation in recent weeks as the Brazilian was linked with moves to Shakhtar Donetsk and FC Porto as well as the Premier League.
Earlier this week, club president Alexandre Kalil revealed that Shakhtar were the only club with a bid accepted.
The eccentric chief also quashed rumours of any deal being agreed with either Tottenham or Arsenal.
"Tottenham made an offer of €18 million for Bernard but they withdrew. Arsenal told us that they would bid but never did so. So what we have now is a €25m bid from Shakhtar," Kalil told Radio Itatiaia.
This now leaves Bernard with only one destination, but his father went public recently with a desire to see his son at Porto.

Gremio’s Maximiliano Rodríguez managed to embarrass a Nautico defender not once, not twice, but three times.
The young Uruguyan weaved his way in and out of the poor defender’s legs.
Eventually, the Nautico man had had enough, and brought Rodriguez down with a cynical challenge.
Being nutmegged once is bad enough.

Mijn vriendin ging volgens mij vanavond naar een wedstrijd van Flamengo in Maracana, benieuwd hoe de sfeer daar is.
Kwartfinale tegen het Botafogo van Seedorf, leuk. Al verwacht ik dat het "slechts" voor de helft gevuld is. Die keren dat ik naar wedstrijden in Rio ging was het stadion steeds maar half vol.
Toch noemenswaardig dat zowel Fluminense (met Fred) als Vasco da Gama (met Cris en Juninho) degraderen.
Palmeiras komt weer terug naar de hoogste competitie. Paysandu mag helaas weer een stapje terug doen naar de serie C.

Terrible riots break out at Atletico PR v Vasco on last day of Brazilian ChampionshipThe final day of the top flight in Brazil featured some fascinating encounters.
Chief amongst them was a clash between Atletico-PR and Vasco.
Atletico-PR sat third in the Campeonato Brasileiro table and were looking to seal a place in the Copa Libertadores.
Vasco meanwhile were battling relegation and needed points to avoid the dreaded drop.
Due to previous incidents Atletico played the match in Joinville which has caused problems with the police not being present and security was taken on by a private firm.
As a result firms of Atletico-PR hooligans attacked their Vasco counterparts and all hell broke loose with one supporter taking a real kicking with the score at 1-0 to the “home” side.
The game was immediately called off with no decision being made for at least 30 minutes on whether the game will be played on.
Vasco players on the sidelines could be seen visibly tearful and a helicopter arrived on the pitch to take the injured fans to hospital with rumours quickly spreading on social media of three Vasco supporters in a coma.

Vasco Da Gama en de kampioen van afgelopen seizoen Fluminese zullen komend seizoen dus uitkomen in de Braziliaanse Serie B. Fred zal zeer waarschijnlijk de overstap maken van Flu na Cruzeiro. Conca keert terug vanuit China bij Fluminese.
Everton Ribeiro van Cruzeiro en afgelopen seizoen veruit de beste aanvallende middenvelder in de Braziliaanse competitie staat in de belangstelling van diverse Europese clubs.
Persoonlijk zou ik tot dit elftal van het seizoen komen in de Braziliaanse competitie.

Middenveld zou dan bestaan uit Nilton ( Cruzeiro), Paulo Baier ( Atletico PR), Elias ( Flamengo) en Everton Ribeiro ( Cruzeiro).
Voorin zou ik kiezen voor Walter ( Goias) en Ederson ( Atletico PR).
Ook vond ik Dinei (Vitoria) en Hernane ( Flamengo) sterk deze competitie.
De grootst tegenvallers vond ik Leandro Damiao, Scocco. Ook bij Juninho ( Vasco) is het helaas duidelijk dat hij het niveau niet meer aankan.

Gessé, a forward for Brazilian side Atlético Acreano, is now known as the guy who scored a goal that Pele couldn’t even score.
Last weekend Atlético Acreano took on Andirá in the Brazilian lower leagues, and the match was made famous by an incredible 60-yard volley.
After Andirá’s goalie cleared his lines with a hoofed clearance, Gessé leathered a volley straight back on the Andirá goal and his shot sailed over the keeper and into the net.
Pele famously tried a similar shot at the 1970 World Cup against Uruguay but the Brazilian legend failed to score on that attempt.

Corinthians - Botafogo op punt van beginnen in het gloednieuwe WK stadion in Sao Paulo, zit bij lange na niet vol daar. Het stadion lijkt ook echt net pas af, al hebben ze er natuurlijk vorige week al voor het eerst in gespeeld.
Wel raar om te zien zo, die hele grote witte onoverdekte tribune.
Cruzeiro staat al met 2-0 voor tegen Flamengo. Goulart en Everton Ribeiro die in de belangstelling staat van diverse Europese clubs waren de doelpuntenmakers.
Corinthians al een tijdje op 1-0 en een paar kansen, goede goal van Jadson. De ploeg uit Rio komt er niet aan te pas
Het is dus toch nog teleurstellend voor de thuisclub 1-1 geworden bij Corinthians-Botafogo. Maar de ploeg uit Sao Paulo blijft toch derde op de ranglijst.

The Rise and Fall of Leandro Damião
Leandro Damião was widely regarded as one of the most talented Brazilian strikers when he started shining for Internacional in 2010. But despite his success early on his professional career, he could not live up to expectations for long and declined fast.
In order to understand his decline, it is important to take into account how Leandro Damião rose to stardom in first place. Most Brazilian players who are developed at clubs from an early age, often play futsal during their early youth careers.
However, Leandro Damião started his career in the “várzea” (amateur football) in the city of São Paulo, which is rougher and tactically less polished than regular football. Those characteristics helped him learn how to deal with the physicality in football, but also meant he could not develop some basic skills and tactical awareness as well as other players.
Despite that, after being initially rejected in trials where he first played as a defensive midfielder, Leandro Damião impressed at small Santa Catarina club Hermann Aichinger and quickly attracted the attention of Internacional, becoming a key player in their 2010 Copa Libertadores title triumph.
The striker’s success at Internacional lead him to get frequently called up for the national team, but he struggled to live up to expectations. Leandro Damião did manage to become the top scorer in the 2012 Olympic Games, despite Brazil’s defeat in the final against Mexico.
Clubs from Europe, most notably Tottenham, attempted to sign Leandro Damião after the Olympics, but Internacional’s high valuation of him meant no deal could be achieved.
The Olympics were Leandro Damião’s peak, injuries soon lead to a drop in form, whilst the striker also started trying to showcase skills he doesn’t have. A lack of goals, and a tendency to move little during games attracted criticism, and Internacional became eager to sell him.
The chance came in early 2014, as Santos, helped by investors, signed him for a fee estimated in 12 million Euros. Leandro Damião cherished the opportunity to move to the state of São Paulo, but injuries and a lack of speed and mobility marred his performances and attracted criticism, whilst younger more agile players such as Gabriel Barbosa shone at the club.
Leandro Damião’s spell at Santos has also been hindered by poor service, and a poor use of his strengths. As a physically strong striker that is not so technically gifted, it is important to ensure he receives passes and crosses often in or near the penalty area so he can work effectively as a target man.
As he is only 25 years old, there is still hope the former Internacional striker can bounce back, either at Santos or elsewhere. His physical attributes and past history should be enough to ensure there will also be interest from other clubs at some point in the future.
